Warning: today’s tale may make you angry. In fact, I hope it does. It sure got my blood pumping pretty hot. I just wish there was something more I could do about it.
When running directly toward trouble, it’s probably best to prepare your excuses ahead of time. It’s not exactly the most obvious of life-lessons, but I think it’s one the big guy may now understand.

The really funny thing here is that neither of my kids have seen the Stooges. I can’t help but wonder what their take on this whole thing was. It must have seemed to them like we were all speaking some secret code… which I guess we were, in a way.
In which my children get a faint glimpse into just how easy modern life is. Next month, I’m making them walk up hill to school in a blinding blizzard. I just have to find a blizzard first. And then a hill.
In hindsight, I realize that I should have gone and gotten the other parents to help solve this problem, but I didn’t think of it at the time. As things worked out, it’s just as good that I didn’t.
