Just what is the margin of error when it comes to telling time on Christmas morning?

What are some of your all-time favorite gifts? I have a new one to add to my list. It’s a DVD that my kids gave me, and I think it may have done something truly amazing.

The world has changed when it comes to how bullies are treated, but I’m afraid I haven’t really changed with it… Fortunately, the boys seem to be adopting the best of both worlds. Enjoy!

What could be better than a lazy morning of sleep in, while your kids make you breakfast? I can think of a few things. Quite a few, actually.

The boys have discovered the idea that if something wasn’t intentional, they can’t be blamed for it. I’ve been working hard to convince them that whole approach won’t work – but not this time.

Welcome to a great example of what I think of as “the Gulp.” It’s that moment when you suddenly realize that everything you’ve been doing has either been wrong or insufficient, that sinking feeling that it’s already too late to fix things. When it happens to you, The Gulp is absolutely horrible. When it happens to someone else… well, then it’s kind of funny.

My oldest started out this Christmas season by tossing down a gauntlet. He doesn’t know that he has, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that his parents somehow rise to the challenge.

The big guy isn’t quite ready to shoulder this particular burden, no matter how much he may want to.
