Attack of the Ear Worm

The other morning, for no reason that I can think of, I had the song “Mr. Sandman” stuck in my head as I was making the kids breakfast.

“Mr. Sandman, make me a dream,” I sang. “Ah! I gotta get this song out of my head.”

The kids laughed.

“Someone sing something,” I said. “I need something to get it out of my head.”

“I got one, Daddy!” my 6-year old said.

“Okay,”

“Ready?” he asked.

“Yes.”

His older brother and I watched as he stood up, took a deep breath, and sang “Mr. Sandman, make me a dream“, then collapsed into laughing.

Sheesh.

…And now I have that stupid song stuck in my head again. Argh!
